How do I find an Apprentice?
Recruitment can be costly, and time consuming, we have added 'Meet Your Match' events to better support you
We know first hand how time consuming and expensive recruitment can be. We also know from feedback that, especially for small employers, this can be the challenge that prevents them from taking on an Apprentice because they simply don't have the time or the skills to advertise and administrate roles in traditional ways. We have put together a series of events at key points in the calendar to address this challenge, and better support the employers we work with to find their ideal candidate.

How do I get involved?
Please fill in this form to notify us that you would like to hear about future match events. This really is the best way to interview current candidates efficiently, and we will try to ensure that we host sessions in a range of locations and time slots so that we can welcome as many of you as possible.
What about other advertising?
We recommend all employers advertise via their own websites (of they have them) and utilise local networks and social forums wherever possible to find motivated candidates in their local area, however we also recommend that all vacancies are advertised on the Find An Apprenticeship service as this makes your role much more visible as it is being boosted by a national platform. You can post adverts on here via your Digital Apprenticeship Service account (if you don't already have this set up, you can use this guidance to get started).
If you want to investigate candidates who are part qualified, or already have some background in the industry, why not contact one of our Business Partners about students already studying who are looking to progress into your industry? We will conduct some checks with you, but if you are ready to commit, we can share the details with you of students who are actively looking to progress in to an Apprenticeship in your area. We would strongly advise that you attend one of our Meet Your Match events to meet potential candidates face to face, however we understand that this might not always be possible, so will help and support you to access this information in other ways.
Do you have any tips?
There's so much advice out there for recruiting, so feel free to look around, but we really like this advice on using social media to share vacancies if you're new to it.
